Tis The Season

Well, I thought I'd report on this weekend's XXXmas shenanigans. This year was definitely not a Charlie Brown Christmas for Shorney. A few boys in Shorney decided it would be a GREAT idea to uproot a 6 foot juniper tree behind our dorm and then drag it down the basement hallway to the lounge only to be dubbed the Shorney christmas tree. As annoying as it was to have to deal with this as an RA and as doubly annoying it was for the cleaning staff to deal with this, I'm going to admit that this was a great prank. Who thinks of that kind of thing? As I met with my HR the next day to talk about the awfulness of this incident I couldn't help but laugh to myself. This is totally absurd and definitely makes the top 10 list of weird things that happen here.

On a different note, finals week has officially begun and I can't help but resent my freshman residents a little bit for their joke 100 level classes and 1 final (if that). The lack of finals though has given them ample time to bring me goodies and distraction. Hooray for procrastination!

Also, I get to endure a painfully awkward dinner at my stats professor's house tonight... Yeehaw! Words cant describe my enthusiasm.  Only in the Math department would this happen.

I Love My Job

Even though being an RA on an all girls floor can sometimes seem like a scene straight out of Mean Girls, I love my job. Not only does it allow for endless chuckles to myself and constant rolling of the eyes, but I get to reap the benefits of almost 20 closets, a zillion beauty tips, and free manicures. What girl needs anything more?

I just wanted to preface any more posts by saying that I am obviously obsessed with my 25 lovely residents that keep me smiling and laughing. I also, despite complaints you may read later, think being an RA on Denison's campus is by far the most rewarding, enjoyable, and humorous of jobs. I am lucky to be having this experience.

P.S.  I hear Regina George is dating Aaron Samuels again. The 2 were seen canoodling at Chris Isen's halloween party... they've been inseparable ever since.

Baby on Board

So I created this blog to follow the life of a pregnant college student.. but then I just remembered that I'm not pregnant and only extremely full from eating Creno's PIzza and Mi Fiesta... 

The REAL reason I have decided to divulge every detail of my life to the vast cyber world is that my residents (I am an RA) keep telling me I'm HILARIOUS... naturally. 

So, from now on you will be able to follow my ever dramatic life and the even more dramatic lives of my residents.
